About
CHARMELLE

Charmelle is a devoted practitioner and teacher of Yoga. Her teachings are delivered with compassion, clarity and attention to detail. Carefully observing the individual body of each student, and acting with awareness of their mental and emotional state, Charmelle connects with students to inspire an openness that allows the practice to reveal it’s magic.

Charmelle is an Authorised level 2 teacher of Ashtanga Yoga, from Sharath Jois in Mysore India, where she continues to learn and develop her skills and offering each year.
Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra classes are also offered, giving the body space to open and relax into a space of calm inner awareness.
ETHAN

Ethan is a dedicated student & teacher of the Ashtanga method. This daily practice has brought together his lifetime of inquiry into optimizing the function of the human body. Deeper awareness of his spiritual path rapidly led him to a colourful and chaotic city in south India, where he would be one of thousands of devoted practitioners who travel each year from every corner of the globe to learn yoga from R. Sharath Jois. Receiving the Authorization of his teacher to pass on this method has been an incredible blessing, which then allowed Ethan the opportunity to assist Sharathji in his shala in Mysore.
Having spent time travelling the world and teaching in some incredible yoga shalas, it is a great honour for Ethan to now be able to contribute to the community in Cape Town, and continue to share this practice with sincerity and devotion.

"Charmelle and Ethan radiate positive, light and enthusiastic energy when they teach with not only in depth knowledge of how the human body works but also a gradual approach to open it up. So I had very good specific feedback from them which made it more clear for me to adjust myself without injury. They create a balanced atmosphere in their shala, as they are as a couple, which makes me feel safe and pleasant to practice around them. That lead my practice to a deeper level since I started to take it less seriously and be more playful."
